Raccoons are fairly common in residential neighbourhoods thanks to their resilience, adaptability, and intelligence. The warmth and shelter provided by an attic or under a structure becomes the perfect place to find the protection, keep safe, mate, and raise their families.
Additionally we see raccoons creating dens inside chimneys, crawl spaces, sheds, window wells, and wall cavities. Although adorable, and friendly at times it is important to remember they are problematic pests when in and around your property and could carry many diseases and parasites (round worm, leptospirosis, salmonella, rabies).

We start all jobs with a detailed inspection to understand your unique situation. We will inspect the roof, and attic for signs of raccoon damage, feces or babies.

Once we've identified where the raccoons are getting in we install a one way door that allows the raccoons a way to evict themselves, while also preventing them from re-entering the area.

The key to successful long-term protection from raccoons is to proof any potential weak points on the home or structure. Any preventative work would be installed at the same time to eliminate further damage during the removal process.

2-3 weeks following your service, we will come back to the property to remove the one way door, and repair and reinforce the entry points.
Wildlife Exclusion methods are our preferred way to control wildlife. It is the most humane, permanent, and effective method of keeping raccoons out of a home compared to trapping and relocating. We don’t think that these methods effectively address wildlife issues because they are only temporary solutions. Not only does exclusion last longer than other methods, but the homeowner doesn’t need to constantly monitor for animals or pests.
Raccoons are known for their nimble fingers, and smart innovative capabilities which is why a home needs to be properly sealed; otherwise, they will continually keep finding their way in. During your service we install industrial strength materials that animals cannot tamper with or destroy – This prevents them from breaking back in.

Here are some signs you are dealing with a raccoon
Are you noticing more raccoons than usual around your property? If you are seeing raccoons on your roof, in your gardens, on your deck or porch chances are they are looking for a new den site to call home!

If you have noticed any damage to your roof vents, it could be a sign that raccoons are living in the attic. The most vulnerable part of any roof is the vent. Roof vents are usually made out of plastic or metal, and they can easily become compromised by raccoons looking for a way into your attic space - which happens more than you might think!

The raccoon is an incredible climber and major opportunist. In fact, they will do whatever it takes to get into your home- including breaking through any weak points on the exterior of a home. These pests quite often leave quite obvious clues behind after they break in which makes them easy enough for homeowners like yourself with some expertise when inspecting their property

Soffit panels are fairly easy for a raccoon to damage to get inside of a home owners attic space. If your soffit panel has vanished, has fallen off, or is visibly damaged chances are high that you have a raccoon, or at the very least encouraging other wildlife (squirrels, rodents, bats) to find a home in your attic.

Some of the largest animals you'll see in an urban area are raccoons. Their size and weight cause them to make a lot of noise, so if you hear thumping, scratching and movement it's likely that there are one or more raccoons in your house.

Scattered Leaves or Other Nesting Materials:
Raccoons are notorious for nesting inside buildings and homes once they have getting access to the property. These furry critters will use anything as building material for their nests, such as leaves, paper, and cloth. If you see any unusual signs of nesting materials scattered about your home or office space, this is a clear indication of a raccoon infestation.
Urine and Feces:
If a raccoon has made its way onto your property, it will use the space as one litter box. Unfortunately, just one raccoon can produce enough urine and feces to cause some major health issues. Their feces often contain roundworms, which can lead to Baylisascaris, E.Coli, Leptospirosis, Salmonella, and a host of other health problems.

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

"We had raccoons under an addition on our home that were causing increasing damage. We were told by another company that it was too complex and that we should wait it out. Justin recognized that it was complicated but began working on it that afternoon.
His knowledge of home construction was impressive and as we had setbacks he always had solutions. He is professional, experienced and responsive. I highly recommend First Class Wildlife Removal. "

"We thought that the movement we heard was on our roof but it was actually in our attic. We called First Class Wild Life Removal and Justin came to our rescue. He inspected our attic and confirmed that it was a raccoon. He put in a one way door and returned a week later to remove it. He did a complete job in repairing the damage, including the removal of damage and soiled insulation and installing new insulation. He also installed galvanized steel wire mesh at all future, potential entry points.
Justin is your man to call if you want professional and quality work done.
We highly recommend him. Thank you Justin."

"We highly recommend First Class Wildlife Removal Services. We have not been able to stop talking about how amazing Justin was. We discovered that we had Racoons living in our garage roof only after seeing all the damage that was caused by them. After seeing such amazing reviews on our local neighborhood Facebook page we decided to give him a call. He was able to come the following day and start removing our guests. He safely and respectfully removed mama racoon and her 4 babies from our garage. He sealed up the roof and also sealed off any other possible entryways for critters! He was absolutely amazing. We highly recommend First Class Wildlife Removal! Absolutely amazing service! Good service is hard to come by these days, Thank you so much Justin!"
